The Painted Canyon hike and climb was fun, but I will never do it again.

The difficulty level is five stars! For beginners, take a detour.

For the record, I recently went on a niche hike near Los Angeles with a group called Painted Canyon. The entrance to Taril is next to the sign in the parking lot, and a short walk away is a fork in the road. The two roads form a loop, so left and right can be different: first ladder after rope or first rope after ladder. The former is easier than the latter because climbing rope up a mountain tests physical strength more than arm strength. After all, wearing out my pants and backpack while crawling on wet ground made us hikers enjoy ourselves (internal OS: there is no next time). It took us four hours to walk and take pictures along this trail."

Special advice: wear gloves! If you don't want to wear professional climbing gloves, then wear a pair of gardening gloves. They will improve your friction and protect your hands.

Address: Painted Canyon Rd. Mecca, CA92254 .

PS: There is no entrance fee, but the park is unmanned and open 24 hours so it's not recommended to go alone at night!
